Research

Disease management in oral healthcare remains a significant global health challenge, with the incidence of oral disease remaining quite high for many populations. New dental biomaterials are being researched as key contributors to significant industrial innovation and successful clinical translation. The multidisciplinary expertise of AMDB members working on the three research pillars is essential to advance and develop the design of these multifunctional dental biomaterials and their novel technologies aimed at mitigating highly prevalent chronic oral diseases and their effects on overall health.

Current research is focused on three pillars: oral care, regenerative, and reconstructive dental materials.
