Oral Care Dental Materials

The focus of the oral care research pillar is on the development of materials and devices for preventive care. The primary goal is towards research and development of alternative preventive treatments for oral diseases, keeping the cost low and accessibility high, while maintaining the non-toxic, biocompatible, remineralizing, and antibacterial desired properties. This may include a wide range of products such as gels, varnishes, emulsions, biofilm disclosing agents, toothpastes, and mouth rinses to be delivered as over-the-counter products or by dental professionals.
