Regenerative Dental Materials

The research pillar associated with regenerative dental materials primarily focuses on the application of biomaterials to encourage healing and regrowth as a treatment. Regenerative dentistry aims to utilize naturally occurring cellular reparation abilities to facilitate new tissue growth, replacing any diseased tissue. These biomaterials may include cements, scaffolds, and hydrogels, amongst others, and may target a variety of tissues including dentin and pulpal tissues.
