We are thrilled to announce the election of Professor Ricardo Carvalho, DDS, PhD, FADM, as the new President of the Academy of Dental Materials (ADM). Dr. Carvalho's extensive experience and dedication to the field of dental materials make him an outstanding choice for this prestigious position.
 
Dr. Carvalho’s research focuses on the adhesion of various dental materials to dental structures, with an emphasis on optimizing material-structure interfacial properties. His lab has recently achieved significant advancements in developing base materials from sustainable sources such as cellulose nanocrystals (CNC) and chitin. These materials are poised to serve as innovative additives in dental materials manufacturing and align well with the increasing interest in bioproducts for sustainable dental care solutions.
